The house
Wondrous Time began in 2018 when Clara Voss rented a narrow studio behind a joinery shop on Rowan Lane. The first cooler held more buckets than furniture. That ratio has not changed much.
Who
Clara trained in garden work before she trained in rooms. The atelier is still small on purpose: two people on a busy Friday, one on a quiet Tuesday. Large ceremonies are taken only when the week’s market can feed them without emptying the city of the same five stems.
How
We buy at the wholesale market on Thursday and, when the season is loud, again on Saturday. Stems are recut, stripped, and left to drink before anyone talks about a vase. Floral foam is not used. Mechanics are tape, chicken wire, water and patience.
We will not build a bouquet from a list of forty named varieties if half of them arrived last night from a climate they do not belong to. We will not hide tired roses under extra foliage and call it “garden style”. We will not leave you without a care note, because most bouquets fail from heat and dirty water, not from a short vase life.
We will source out-of-season flowers when a client asks clearly and pays for the honesty. A forced peony is a winter product. It can be beautiful. It is not a spring peony.
